On 16 November 2018, Scott Straus spoke at Northwestern University as part of the 2018-2019 Humanities Dialogue, a year-long series of conversations around the theme of SECURITY. He presented his “Political Authority after Civil War: The Peacebuilder’s Dilemma with (Limited) Evidence from the United States, Rwanda, and Côte d’Ivoire”. The event was co-held by War and Society Work Group of Buffett Institute for Global Studies, Department of Political Science, and the Kaplan Humanities Institute at Northwestern University.
